Position Summary

Our Sr. Account Managers are the go-to resource for both client and internal teams. They are the holders of knowledge for their open projects, the main point of contact for the clients, and the team leads from the agency side. Account Managers are responsible for onboarding and interpreting client briefs, briefing the internal team, and rebriefing the client each time Recess onboards a new project. Based on client briefs, Account Managers identify the client needs and provide strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage existing relationships with clients through a consultative process involving on-site meetings and presentations with client and agency decision-makers
  • Foster new relationships with clients in adjacent industry or project type
  • Build a thorough understanding of client business objectives and challenges in order to identify ways in which advertising products and services can provide value
  • Develop and deliver winning programs and proposals that lead to lasting and commercially successful partnerships with a focus on creative, solution-oriented ideas
  • Support business growth by growing existing client relationships and expanding existing projects
  • Lead client status calls for open projects, establishing call agendas in partnership with project management team
  • Infer strategic insights based on client needs and project performance
  • Serve as a representative of the Recess brand in a positive, informed, and enthusiastic manner
  • Identify potential risks in projects and client relationships, developing strategies to proactively mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to clients, showcasing the impact of agency work on their business objectives.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial targets.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly revenue performance reports to senior management
  • Prepare weekly and monthly forecast reports and present to senior management
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to secure favorable terms for the agency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including creative, strategy, and production, to ensure client needs are met and projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in agency setting
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to craft project scopes and SOWs
  • Experience managing client teams on both project and retainer-based work
  • Ability to thought leadership in the area of social media, digital, and experiential marketing
  • Comfortable reviewing data and using it to develop strategic insights

You bring

  • Agency Experience is a must
  • 5-8 years of relevant Account experience managing client accounts in marketing or similar field
  • Ability to speak to various project types including paid media, web, mobile, video, brand, spatial design, augmented reality, and out-of-home
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
