Senior Account Manager

Our Account Managers are the go-to resource for both client and internal teams. They are the holders of knowledge for their open projects, the main point of contact for the clients, and the team leads from the agency side. Account Managers are responsible for onboarding and interpreting client briefs, briefing the internal team, and rebriefing the client each time Recess onboards a new project. Based on client briefs, Account Managers identify the client needs and provide strategic solutions.

On any given day you might

  • Manage existing relationships with clients through a consultative process involving on-site meetings and presentations with client and agency decision-makers
  • Build a thorough understanding of client business objectives and challenges in order to identify ways in which advertising products and services can provide value
  • Develop and deliver winning programs and proposals that lead to lasting and commercially successful partnerships with a focus on creative, solutions-oriented ideas
  • Support business growth by growing existing client relationships and expanding existing projects
  • Collaborate with design team to develop strategic campaign presentations and present them to client team
  • Lead client status calls for open projects, establishing call agendas in partnership with project management team
  • Infer strategic insights based on client needs and project performance
  • Lead internal team of designers, projects managers, and producers
  • Serve as a representative of the Recess brand in a positive, informed, and enthusiastic manner

The ideal person

  • Has excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Is a natural leader
  • Has experience managing client teams on both project and retainer-based work
  • Can provide thought leadership in the area of social media, digital, and experiential marketing
  • Is comfortable reviewing data and using it to develop strategic insights

You bring

  • 5-8 years’ relevant experience managing client accounts in social media or experiential marketing or similar field
  • Ability to speak to various project types including paid media, web, mobile, video, brand, augmented reality, and out-of-home
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
