Position Summary

We are seeking a driven and strategic-minded New Business Manager to join our team. This individual will coordinate opportunities to introduce the agency to prospective clients and expand our business. They will be involved in brand planning and analytic activity associated with acquiring new business. The New Business Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities for the agency. This position requires a blend of business development expertise, industry knowledge, and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with the business development team to help craft creative briefs and provide clear, briefings to Strategy/Creative teams and remain an active contributor throughout the creative development process.
  • Able to develop a backgrounder with an understanding of the client business objectives, internal and competitive opportunities, and customer insights into actionable marketing communications strategies.
  • Provides team with direction and input to ensure business and project goals are met.
  • Exhibits enthusiasm for clients' business and industry. Maintains leading edge of knowledge of clients' business and industry.
  • Recognizes and seizes opportunities to contribute to agency new business.
  • Regularly informs business development team on status of business, help partner with resourcing to ensure the team can execute against business development initiatives.
  • Understands the industry & able to see areas of opportunity.
  • Has excellent presentation skills and presentation development skills.
  • Has excellent organizational skills.
  • Is very comfortable working in an integrated agency environment.
  • Monthly maintenance and reporting on growth & marketing budget
  • Monthly maintenance and updating of salesforce tool for new business activity
  • Responsible for partnership with operations in the creation and management of RFP and Pitch Schedules
  • Works with Account Director to ensure all workstreams of pitches are running according to schedule and managing troubleshooting where needed
  • Partner with new business Admin on the coordination of travel and all related details for pitches
  • Self starter & ambitious.

  • Strong understanding of brand, strategy, and digital work principles, design trends, and marketing strategies
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a compelling manner
  • Adept at building and nurturing client relationships
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track sales activities
  • Unparalleled work ethic

You Bring:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; graduate degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years prior new business experience with creative agencies
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience with digital marketing and/or managing the design and development of websites; traditional marketing experience is a plus.
  • Has deep knowledge and experience with multichannel marketing.
