JOB OVERVIEW
3D Specialist is a designer focused on building high-quality 3D assets across a wide range of creative outputs. They support ideation, contribute to creative direction, and execute 3D work across campaigns, experiential, content, social, and integrated productions.
They help translate concepts into dimensional visuals, producing renders, environments, and motion-ready assets that align with the broader creative vision. Passionate about craft and emerging tools, the 3D Specialist brings a strong point of view while working closely with internal teams to push work forward.
They can demonstrate a strong technical foundation and visual sensibility across different styles and formats. They support the team’s innovation and workstreams by partnering with internal creatives to develop forward-thinking 3D executions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create high-quality 3D models, environments, and visual assets from concept through final delivery.
- Develop textures, lighting, materials, and rendering setups to achieve strong visual outputs.
- Execute both photorealistic and stylized 3D work across a variety of client briefs and platforms.
- Translate creative direction, references, and concepts into clear 3D executions.
- Support the development of visual directions, mood boards, and design systems through 3D.
- Create motion-ready assets and execute animation work including camera movement, object animation, basic simulations, and transitions.
- Partner with Creative, Strategy, and Production to bring ideas into final outputs.
- Collaborate with designers, motion teams, and external partners across the production process.
- Prepare and optimize 3D assets for different formats including social, digital, and motion.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines.
- Maintain organized files and adhere to production workflows.
- Stay current on emerging tools, workflows, and trends in 3D and digital design.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality 3D work across a range of styles and applications.
- Experience creating 3D assets for digital, social, brand, or experiential projects.
- Strong understanding of lighting, materials, rendering, and composition.
- Ability to translate concepts into clear and compelling visual outputs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet established timelines.
- Ability to collaborate across creative, strategy, and production teams.
- Experience working in a creative studio or agency environment preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with internal teams.
- Skill using industry standard 3D tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Rhino3D) and rendering engines.
- Familiarity with animation, motion, simulation, or real-time workflows is a plus.
- Experience with post-production tools is a plus.
